HYSTERIA FREEDOM & COVID19

The most significant death that could emanate from this pandemic is that of the free world. To the flat earther's I suggest “maybe the world is round after all “.

Extreme levels of fear make us hysterical. Hysteria makes us irrational and leads to the kind of reaction we might expect from people who are prepared to trample on their friends and relatives in order to get out of a burning building. Conversely when we are in control and being rational we make perfectly good decisions every day balancing risk and reward. Will I cross the street here? Will I buy that car? What restaurant should we eat in? we balance our decisions based on whether we might get run down or can I afford that car or will we like the food in that restaurant etc. etc.

For the past three months the world has been in a state of hysteria. We are not processing any risk and reward calculations because of fear. Since the fire alarm went off we are convinced that the building is burning to the ground and no amount of rational discussion or examination of the current data is getting through. This is understandable at a level but not excusable.

Our policy makers are caught in a vortex of conflicting agendas but with common goals. This is taking us down a path where our freedoms are being seriously eroded and we are going along willingly. How have governments performed in other crisis over the past 100 years? I would argue not very well. In 1930 post the wall street crash the job market was recovering very well with unemployment down to 6% in the US by June of that year. Successive government interventions deepened the depression and the next 15 years is history. I refer you to economists Thomas Sowell and Milton Friedman both of whom give a good analysis of this. The reserve bank in the US was only established in 1914. Prior to that government interference in a recession was limited and the market corrected itself with little government intervention.

The 2008 financial crisis saw similar missteps by many governments which exacerbated the problem at a great cost to ordinary people.

In previous pandemics the predictions made by the establishment were hugely overstated. It is natural for governments to want to address a problem when it occurs. However were they to learn from past mistakes they might consider that sometimes a lighter touch would serve them better. Extreme measures bring extreme consequences which never seem to get reversed.

Milton Friedman in addressing a group of students some thirty odd years ago advised them that “ The generations that had gone before them had the challenge of securing our freedom. Their challenge would be to hold onto it. “ Was I in his audience then I probably wouldn’t have understood what he was saying. Based on the last few months and reflecting on the past thirty years I know exactly what he was saying.

During that time we have seen a steady erosion of our freedoms in a way that I don’t believe we as a society recognise on a day to day basis. One hears of an elite group made up of the Bill Gates of this world, other Silicon Valley oligarchs, the WHO, the Clintons, George Soros etc. etc. It is alleged that these people see population control as a goal to be achieved as they know what’s best for us. As a consequence of the virus they are apparently considering things like mandatory vaccination and track and trace. The elitists are promoting this not because of anything to do with the virus but to further their agenda. Governments are entertaining them and this is very dangerous. We all know China are the experts on population control but this is more sinister because they will get us to do it to ourselves and it will be too late by the time we recognise it. Who is more powerful, Google, Apple, Amazon or your government?

To put this in context consider how we seem to have adopted a one size fits all approach to legislation. A small business operating out of 1000 sq.ft. premises has to adhere to the same regulations as a big multinational. The difficulty in carrying out some of the most basic financial functions has become seriously onerous and unnecessarily complicated.

Forms have to be filled out or ID provided for far too many small and irrelevant activities. At the same time Banks, cell phone companies, internet companies all call us customers but then treat us like we are members of a club with very strict rules all of which smacks of elements of population control. There is currently a company in Manchester England VST Enterprises, who are very advanced in developing a V-Passport which should it be implemented would require us to have an app on our phone in order to validate our vaccination  status. This company is reputedly in talks with 15 major governments around the world. This is despite the fact they are fully aware of the limitations of vaccines.

They are also discussing using track and trace technology. This is despite It being well established that it only works when a virus has been contained amongst a very small group of people. Once it spreads at all it is ineffective. So why are they even discussing it? It is about further control.

What makes it so scary is that they feel comfortable to openly cite the Chinese experience in order to give the V-Passport credibility. Neither we the public nor the media seem to be questioning it. That wouldn’t have happened in the seventies or eighties. Can you imagine back then if somebody came up with a solution which had it’s origins in Russia. It would be headline news with all kinds of protests.

Pretty soon we will need to sign a disclaimer if we want to buy a Mars Bar just in case we die of a heart attack subsequently!! Every little rule or regulation further erodes our freedom, in other words there’s always a price. In the fast paced world we live in we tend not to think of it that way particularly if generally it’s happening slowly and incrementally.

I think it’s fair to describe our politicians as legislators and our civil servants as bureaucrats and administrators. Their roles are therefore inextricably linked. The civil servants need the politicians to pass legislation and vice versa. Their usefulness and their power is based on continuing to advance legislation on foot of which the necessary bureaucracies need to be established in order to administrate the legislation. Limiting or stripping away legislation is in neither of their interests. It limits their power and reduces their influence.

In normal times this process moves very slowly with parliamentary committees, polls, lobby groups etc. all playing their part. Nevertheless it trundles along. We all give out about how difficult it is to get anything done these days with the amount of paperwork and verification required for the most menial of functions and then we accept it with little or no resistance.

At a time of crisis they have unlimited power to impose rules and regulations. As we are all operating in fear mode they have total power over us. They know that we will comply because we are afraid not to.

The policy makers become almost drunk on this power and having taken drastic action in the first place are disinclined to reverse any of it. The result is they need to keep feeding the narrative. How do they do this?

The first thing is to maximise the number of deaths that we can put down to Covid-19. I personally know of 2 situations where people were recorded as having died from the virus when in fact they died from other causes but had traces of the virus in their system. This is a trend that has been spoken of by numerous doctors in different countries who are attempting to speak out but who are being silenced with the cooperation of the media. There appears to be no questioning of policy by the media apart from a few lone voices.

The next most important thing is not to give out any other numbers which might relate to people with sicknesses such as heart disease or cancer. Don’t highlight any unemployment numbers or other economic indicators. Don’t present any studies that show the mental health consequences of isolation. In addition don’t give any profile to experts who are questioning of the adopted strategy. I suspect Dr Bhattachayra or Dr. Ioannidis are largely unknown in Ireland. Both are Stanford Professors with not only considerable expertise in this area but they have also carried out up to date clinical studies which indicate that the lockdown is a mistake.

The other thing that makes this a smooth ride for the temporary government is that as long as they are writing cheques many people are pacified. The policy makers themselves are sure of their pay cheque at the end of the month no matter what and because of their generosity with our money so are many others. However that won’t last.

So we have governments manipulating us who are in turn being manipulated by the elitists with even bigger and bolder ideas for controlling us. They all want to find ways to achieve population control. They just have different reasons.

We are at a cross roads as a society and we must insure that the government doesn’t hold onto any more of our hard earned freedoms when this is over. That means things like V-passports and track and trace must be rejected out of hand. They don’t add anything in terms of combating the virus but they add considerably to the agenda of those who seek to control us.

We are social creatures and every barrier they put between us however small has a seriously negative effect on the fabric of our society. Things that seem innocuous individually mount up over time until they become a tsunami and then it’s too late. Ultimately our hard earned freedom is at stake.

I’m sure even Milton Friedman didn’t know how prophetic he was being when he addressed those young people some thirty odd years ago.

Who's fooling who?

What’s the point in vaccinating the majority of the population if they still have little or no freedom of movement? What’s the point in having achieved herd immunity between those vaccinated and those who have already had the virus if we’re all still locked down or quarantined, made to wear masks and not allowed to go out to dinner or go to the theatre or go to a football match etc. etc. It’s crazy and nobody is being allowed to speak up. Some political leader in Europe needs to step forward and show leadership and quickly. This continuous diet of “ we might open up “ we will open up “ “ we may not be able to open up “ “ we’ll have to lock down again if you don’t behave yourselves “ has become really tiresome.   From the outset, they kept saying “ we must follow the science “. Well, they ceased following the science themselves long ago. It has become pure political wrangling and scaremongering by the various mouthpieces that have been nominated by their individual governments. ...

Trapped!

Politicians lie in the same way that birds sing. It’s an uncontrollable urge that becomes second nature to them once they have participated in the democratic process of being elected. Human beings have enormous potential as individuals and yet collectively we can be incredibly stupid and naive.   Governments have become shameless in their lies and manipulation of the masses. Dr Fauci has contradicted himself so many times at this stage that I’m sure he’ll meet himself coming around the next corner. His decision to fund the lab in Wuhan and then his attempts to deflect attention away from them have now been fully exposed, yet he is still secure in his government-appointed position. Why? I would suggest that had this happened even 25 years ago the outcry would have been such that his resignation would have been inevitable. Not so in today’s world of keeping your mouth shut and don’t step out of line or you’ll get a high tech modern version of a knock on the door. His email communicat...

The Lost Society

There’s something very sinister going on behind the scenes in the world present. I haven’t wanted to believe it but everything that’s happening currently indicates that it is so. We cannot and should not ignore it any longer. There is a famous line in a Clint Eastwood movie- “ Don’t P..s down my back and tell me it’s raining “ It’s very apt when considering what’s going on at present. Society is at serious risk of never again being able to interact as we did 8 or 9 months ago. All this for a disease that is no more threatening than the flu about which we do nothing because we realised long ago it wasn’t appropriate.   The simple social interactions such as giving somebody a hug or shaking hands could be a thing of the past. We may never again be able to enjoy different cultures or even different customs and atmospheres within our own country. It will all be controlled and sanitised to the point that it is unnatural to us making us more robotic in an unnaturally controlled environme...
