When Mr. Kahn took the stage
at the Democratic convention and attacked Donald Trump he became more than the
father of soldier who gave his life for his country. He became a serious
participant in the political process and therefore he should be prepared to
take whatever comes with that.
To be fair to Mr. Kahn maybe
he was but the rush to outrage and indignation by the media was nothing other
than patronizing and sanctimonious claptrap. Where was their indignation when
the parents of those killed were lied to by Hillary Clinton.
What will it take for the
western world to face up to the fact that there is a war being waged on the
west by the Islamic world which is being conducted on a number of levels. The
terrorist groups and their surrogates attack our very way of life in the most
barbaric of ways by indiscriminately bombing and killing us in the cities of
Europe and North America.
That results in us imposing
security restrictions on ourselves which plays into the hands of the
perpetrators. We as a society then choose to deal with those threats completely
inappropriately. I’ll return to that later.
We are also being attacked on
other fronts by the followers of this religion. Muslim communities in the
western world for the most part create their own community within the broader
society. They increasingly look for us to accommodate their customs and laws in
our world. They implement Sharia law at different levels within their own
community. Their stated loyalty is to Sharia law and not the laws and customs
of the country they have come to. The Koran apparently requires them to be loyal
to only one set of rules. Therefore by definition they have no real acceptance
of our legal system or way of life.
What Mr Kahn would have said
if he did accept our customs and legal system is that the barbaric acts of
those extreme Muslims have no place in any society. But no. He chose instead to
attack the one person in public life in America who is prepared to call it like
it is.
He was doing this in support
of a party who won’t even admit that there is a war going on and furthermore
won’t admit that the Islamic religion is the ideological platform from which
these militant groups emanate.
But it is not just Obama and
the democratic party who are in denial. Most westerners don’t want to face up
to the fact that if we don’t fight back and defeat this threat it will overrun
us and the next generation will be living in a world governed by Sharia law.
Tolerance of those of another
faith is one thing. Turning your world upside down to accommodate their beliefs
and customs is quite different. It is somewhat ironic that the liberal
influences that have driven the separation of church and state are the same
influences that seem to believe we should treat Muslims as a special case.
It seems that whilst we can
question and debate all aspects of other
religions, to in any way question the Muslim religion is unacceptable and just
not PC. If we do we run the risk of being targeted like the Danish cartoonist
or the French newspaper. How did this happen?
The Dutch politician Wilders
was banned from entering the UK, yet known terrorists are effectively being harbored
in our society by a form of legal political correctness which is perverse.
Whilst there has been a
separation of church and state to varying degrees in the west we are culturally
and historically a Christian based society. This should be important to us. If
you lose where you came from you lose who you are.
Mr. Kahn seems to be given
extra status by the liberals and the media because he is Muslim. There is no
similar level of concern for the parents of soldiers killed who have a
Christian background. Why?
Meanwhile all kinds of
allowances are being made in the western world to accommodate the Muslim faith.
Places of worship in shopping malls and airports are a direct result of
accommodating the Muslims. They are accommodated in the workplace if they don’t
want to sell liquor but those of a Christian faith have been put out of
business for not serving the gay community. They stone and hang gay people in
the Muslim world. We build foot baths to facilitate Muslims in our universities
whilst accepting their desire to separate men and women if requested, such was
the case in Halifax Nova Scotia last year. A young girl of 17 was told she had
to leave her martial arts class because a male Muslim joined and claimed it was
against his religion to train with women. He was accommodated.
The Muslim world never comes
out and condemns the actions of the cowards who act in their name. Not one
country in the middle east has disassociated itself from the actions of these
weak and sniveling excuses for humanity.
In the west I only recall 2
Imams coming out and speaking against the bombings and killings. It just isn’t
good enough. By their silence they are condoning it at best. In parts of the UK
you could easily be in the middle east. These people have no intention of
assimilating so what is their agenda. Gradually they are making the society
more and more Islamic and the indigenous are becoming marginalized in their own
land.
How can this be right? It
can’t. We are doing it to ourselves. We are driving the agenda of change to an
Islamic culture. The silly thing about it is that if the terrorists stopped the
bombing and killing they could sit back and wait while the weak and the soft in
the western world enable the liberal left to do it for them. The only thing
that might make the west wake up is the cowardly actions of the Islamic killers
who invade us daily.
I say daily because whether
they kill or destroy everyday the threat is there all the time. Our politicians
have insured that our cowardly response is only matched by the cowardly actions
of those who kill and maim in the name of Mohammad.
All of this takes place
against a backdrop of bigoted and barbaric discrimination and repression in
Iran, in Saudi Arabia and right across the Muslim world. Can you build a
Christian church in their world? No. Can you dress as you wish? No Can women
drive? No. How about their LGBT credentials? Let’s not go there.
However it is not the Muslims
who are doing this to us. We are doing it to ourselves. We have totally lost
perspective. Our lack of judgment as a society is the biggest weapon that the
Islamic movement has going for them.
There is no longer any
balance to our thinking. Maybe the liberals have gone too far in trying to
separate church and state. It seems we are merely going to replace it with
another religion. People have a need to belong which is maybe not being satisfied
in the modern world we have created. When you create a vacuum something will
always fill it. If that’s going to be Islam we are going the right way about
it.
What can we do about it.
Firstly we need to find leaders who see the situation for what it is and they
must have the courage of their convictions. The ideology must be addressed. We
must find our soul. This starts with accepting the basis of our society and
understanding the need to preserve it, not trading it in for a religion where
the majority of followers live by values which have long been rejected by
western society.
In practical terms what
should we do? We should secure our borders and restrict immigrants from Muslim
countries. This is not racism this is common sense. To address a problem you
must first of all contain it. It is not that long ago since those carrying a
South African passport were not welcome in many countries. Nobody was running
around defending all those nice South Africans who weren’t racist. It didn’t
fit the narrative of the day. What’s the difference?
Having secured the borders we
should define both the internal threat and the external threat. A separate
strategy for dealing with each should then be developed. At a high level some
key initiatives which should be included are.
On the immigration front
Muslims who wish to enter a country should be prepared to swear an oath of
allegiance or some such appropriate measure to that country. After all if they
wish to come it shouldn’t be because they wish to change all of us to their
ways. Clearly this would be different for different countries but the principle
should be established. I would leave the embargo in place until such time as the
war on Islamic terrorism was won. Thereafter the new policy of taking some type
of oath of allegiance could be implemented.
This policy could also be
extended to those Muslims already living within our communities. Once they were
identified as having any allegiance to or sympathy with the extremists they
should be put through this process. If they are not prepared to abide they
should be deported or charged with criminal activities.
You can’t do that I hear the
bleeding hearts cry. Well you can if you implement legislation which allows you
to. We continue to try and deal with modern day terrorism using out of date and
inappropriate legislation. New legislation is required not only on immigration
but also in respect of the internet and the newer technologies which drive
social media etc.
The recent situation with
Apple where the ability to access information on the phone of a terrorist
responsible for killing Americans in San Bernadino was refused is difficult to
stomach. The excuses centered around peoples right to privacy are laughable
bearing in mind who was saying it. If the FBI had a subpoena requesting the
release of that information it should have been handed over. Was it a hard copy
file that was requested under subpoena it wouldn’t have been an issue.
It shows how far off the mark
we are that we are so naïve when it comes to such things. The American
President should meet with and explain the facts of life to Mr. Cook and his Tech
mates. Legislation should then be passed to insure that something like this can
never happen again.
America should get the best
brains it can find and start to fight this war on the internet in a much more
proactive and aggressive way. The Dark Net used by the Islamic terrorists
should be attacked and disrupted. They should create websites of their own
countering the influences of those they are at war with.
New legislation defining what
is regarded as terrorist activity on the internet should be implemented. The
idea that this can’t be done is one pedaled by the vested interests of the Tech
world. Well ask the Chinese or the Iranians. It’s a joke to say it can’t be
done. The reality is there is no will to do it.
The media should have
restrictions placed on them when it comes to reporting terrorist activity. This
was done in Britian when dealing with the IRA threat in the seventies. I
realize the internet wasn’t a factor in those days, but it doesn’t matter that
people will still get it on the web. It goes to the heart of setting the tone
and defining who we are as a society. The sensationalizing and constant
analysis is what makes these people heroes to some. That happens in the
traditional media not on the web.
Externally NATO is out of
date and out of step. It was designed in a different time for a different
purpose. Europe needs to find some backbone and for the first time in it’s life
stand with the US not behind it. A new organization or else a very much
revamped NATO is required to address the military side of dealing with the Jihadists.
There must be a will and leadership though for it to succeed.
You can’t expect the public
to say I support a war before you go to war. Seeking the approval of the public
for such actions is cowardly and unfair on the electorate. Politicians are
supposed to be elected to make the tough decisions, not to throw them back at
the masses. Nobody wants war but one of the responsibilities of high office is
recognizing when ugly things need to be done and not shirking the responsibility.
Finally I would impose fresh
sanctions on Iran. They are making fools of the US and generally laughing at
the west while they continue to sponsor terrorism and develop nuclear weapons.
I would shut the borders to Europe and force those wishing to flee Syria and
elsewhere to look to Saudi Arabia and other Islamic destinations for refuge.
I’d stop buying their oil and enter a new diplomatic phase with the region.
There is more than enough oil in the world and I’m sure others including the
Russians might actually welcome it.
These are some of the
initiatives open to any government with a vision or who seriously wishes to
address what kind of a future world they would like to leave to the next
generation.
The Muslim world as a whole
has no respect for the west despite being quite happy to avail of what it offers
them. Maybe future Mr. Kahns will be just as concerned about how America and
the west are respected as it is about how Muslims are regarded. This is not Mr.
Kahns fault. It is ours. We must stop selling our soul to the liberal elite and
through them to the Muslim world. We must regain our perspective and not always
be the first to criticize who we are.
